1. Introduction

The mast section of tower crane refers to the truss-shaped columns that give the crane its working height. Instead of being one continuous column, they are designed to be bolted to each other and other crane components. The concrete base and the mast columns impart stability to the crane and prevent it from toppling over.

Tower crane mast section is an important part for one set of tower crane, it plays a very important role in the whole tower crane. Based on required tower crane models, mast sections have several types of models. Among them, 1.2m*1.2m*3.0m, 1.6m*1.6m*3.0m, 2.0m*2.0m*3.0m type of mast sections are common used. 1.2m is S24 mast section for MC80 &MC85 Tower cranes. 1.6m means the L44A1, L46A1 model mast section. 2.0m means L68B1, L68B2, L68B3 mast sections.
